Lady Maroons prevail in overtime
Sep. 19—The Pulaski County Lady Maroons were looking to build on their best offensive performance in their last contest against McCreary Central on Monday, when they traveled to Casey County for a district contest. Both teams battled on defense for a majority of the night, with the contest being forced into overtime.
There, it was senior Kaytra Anderson that provided the winning goal, giving the Maroons a 1-0 victory and a season sweep of the Lady Rebels. Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Phillippi was great in goal during the game, recording the clean sheet to go along with three saves.
Pulaski improves to 3-10-1 with the victory, with the Lady Maroons going for another win on Thursday when they travel to Wayne County. Game time for that one is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
