The Lady Vols came out hot to take a 27-21 lead after the first quarter, but second-quarter struggles saw them tied, 39-39, at the break.

Kellie Harper and crew led just one time early in the second half. The home squad controlled the lead the rest of the way in Oxford.

Both teams shot nearly identically from the field – about 48 percent – but Ole Miss managed to score 15 points on 15 Big Orange turnovers.

Spear had three rebounds and four assists to go along with the 30 points. Rickea Jackson notched 15 points and six rebounds, but no other Lady Vol had more than seven points.

Marquesha Davis led the way with 23 points for the Rebels, while Kharyssa Richardson chipped in 21 points off the bench.

Tennessee (12-7, 5-2 SEC) has its eight-game winnings streak over Ole Miss snapped in the loss.

The Lady Vols remain on the road at Georgia for a Thursday matchup. Tip-time is slated for 7 p.m.
