Latest Lafayette-area closings, cancelations and delays for Monday, Feb. 7
LAFAYETTE, Ind. – In the Greater Lafayette area, a number of delays, closings and cancelations continue to be added to the list.
The Journal & Courier will update this list as notices are sent. We welcome your announcements, preferably by a designated individual in your office or organization, and can be emailed to jcnews@jconline.com.

ISSMA competition
The Indiana State School Music Association postponed the Solo & Ensemble Contest on Saturday. This includes the District Winds/Percussion site being held at Harrison High School and the Strings site being held at West Lafayette High School.
The predetermined weather date is Saturday 2/12. The contest schedule will remain the same. Please contact your school's music teacher for further information.
Colleges:
Purdue University
Motorists will be allowed to resume normal parking on campus beginning 8 a.m. Monday. Until that time, snow routes need to remain free of parked cars to facilitate continued snow removal over the weekend.
Regular campuswide parking enforcement will resume as of 7 a.m. Tuesday. Motorists who temporarily parked in one of the following locations while snow removal occurred should remove their vehicles from these locations between 8 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday in order to avoid being ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense:

If a vehicle is towed from one of these locations, contact the Purdue University Police dispatch center at 765-494-8221 to determine the location of the vehicle.

• First, Second, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth streets between Russell and University Streets
• Grant Street
• Harrison Street/Williams Street from Martin Jischke Drive to Grant Street

• Martin Jischke Drive from State Street to Harrison Street
• Ross-Ade Drive
• Russell Street between Tower Drive and Harrison Street

Lafayette City Hall
Snow emergency canceled at 6 p.m. Sunday. The city will continue to plow streets and lay salt as needed throughout the weekend
West Lafayette City Hall
Snow emergency over; city offices open on Monday. Drivers are encouraged to drive carefully because roads have slick spots.
Tippecanoe County offices
Open for normal hours starting Monday.
Tippecanoe County Health Department

Vaccine clinic and testing site -- closed Friday. Check the department's Facebook for any updates.
Tippecanoe County Health Board

Feb. 2 meeting postponed until 7 a.m. Wednesday in the Tippecanoe Room in the County Office Building.

High School Girls Basketball Sectionals
Snow and travel advisories caused a shakeup in the girls basketball sectional tournaments around Greater Lafayette. Here's a look at the reconfigured scheduled.
High school basketball
The Fountain Central boys JV/V basketball game at Covington on Thursday has been postponed to Monday, Feb 14, at Covington, 6 p.m. JV start.
High School girls swim/dive sectional
The Lafayette Jefferson Girls Swim/Dive Sectional has been postponed to Saturday and Monday. Schedule is: diving: 10 a.m. Saturday; swimming preliminaries at 2:30 p.m. Saturday; swim finals at 6 p.m. Monday.

Business:
CityBus
CityBus has implemented Level 4 service reductions due to the deteriorating road conditions, and is suspending service early for Thursday.
CityBus has implemented Level 2 service reductions due to the slick road conditions and excess snow. Portions of some routes are unable to be served and routes are detouring to avoid particularly difficult road conditions.

Food Finders Food Bank
Food Finders Food Bank and its programs, including Fresh Market, will be closed Friday and Saturday.
USPS
From the U.S. Postal Service: Employees make every reasonable effort to deliver mail in many difficult weather conditions. USPS is asking customers to clear snow and ice from sidewalks, stairs, and mailboxes, to help letter carriers deliver the mail.
