Lafayette Kohl's part of 600-store Sephora additions

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Over 400 stores nationwide will be adding Sephora to their Kohl's shops this year, including at the Lafayette location, 2415 Sagamore Pkwy South.

The addition of these new stores will bring Sephora at Kohl's locations to 600.

"We’re thrilled to be bringing Sephora at Kohl’s closer to millions more of our customers nationwide through this 400 store expansion,” Doug Howe, Kohl’s chief merchandising officer, said in a release. “The quick and vast rollout of Sephora at Kohl’s is a testament to how much we believe in this partnership and making prestige beauty more accessible to people everywhere. We’re excited to grow and bring this elevated beauty experience to more of Kohl’s existing and new customers this year.”

While the recently opened Sephora at Kohl's is not a "free-standing" location – as it is inside at Kohl's store – the 2,500 square feet of space and immersive experience ensures that customers will feel they are in a stand-alone Sephora store.

"There, Sephora-trained Beauty Advisors offer personalized beauty consultations and assistance with finding products, while testing and discovery zones serve up a rotating assortment of new, emerging or trending products," a release from Kohl's said.

Beauty-gurus across the country, and now locally in Lafayette, will be able to enjoy the variety of makeup, skin and haircare and fragrance brands that are available at Sephora at Kohl's new Lafayette location.

"Within all Sephora at Kohl’s locations, shoppers will find a carefully curated assortment of prestige makeup, skincare, hair, and fragrance brands," a release said, "including coveted beauty brands such as Rare Beauty, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Kiehl’s, Giorgio Armani, Olaplex, Clinique and Sephora Collection as well as innovations in clean beauty and self-care."

While Lafayette's JCPenny has a Sephora as well, that location will be closing sometime in or before 2024. This new location will provide a fresher, larger Sephora location for local shoppers to enjoy.

"I believe that it's going to be good for the community because it's a lot bigger of a store than we've previously had in JCPenny's," Lexi Brummett, the beauty team lead at the new Lafayette location, said. "We carry about 30-40% more of products than what they did. We have a lot to offer when it comes to haircare, skincare, fragrance, makeup. The whole works."
