Lafayette man ticketed after hitting side of house with SUV
Sep. 22—A Lafayette man in his mid-40s hit the side of a house with his small SUV around 10 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Agape Way, according to Lafayette police.
The man was moving his car when he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake, crashing into the back of another car and then the side of a house and causing substantial damage, according to police. No one was home at the time of the crash.
The driver didn't appear to be physically injured, but was taken to the hospital to be checked, according to police. The driver was ticketed for reckless driving and improper backing.
