Lafayette Parks & Recreation asks for the public's input

LAFAYETTE, Ind. − The Lafayette Parks & Recreation Department is seeking input from the public regarding the five-year masterplan.

Members of the Greater Lafayette community are asked to fill out a brief online survey in order to provide feedback that will "help shape the department's plans for the future."

The survey can be accessed online on the Lafayette Parks & Recreation website. It gives the public the opportunity to weigh in on Parks' facilities, programming and amenities. The feedback deadline is June 18.

"We want to hear from our community,” said Parks Superintendent Claudine Laufman in a release. “This survey is really critical for us to hear the community’s opinions about the things they like, things they would like to see improved, and new things they would like to see in the future. We value that input so much.”

The 13-question survey will help the department plan its goals and priorities through the implementation of activities through 2028.

“We are proud to have accomplished so much over the last five years; from the new Loeb Stadium, Memorial Island renovations, the new penguin exhibit at Columbian Park Zoo, new slides at TropicanoeCove, to system-wide playground replacements and upgrades, which are still ongoing," Laufman said in the release. "We’ve worked hard to meet our goals over the last five years, and we can’t wait to see what the next five years will have in store for us."
