Lafayette silk flower rental company 'ties the knot' with David's Bridal

Something Borrowed Blooms, the Lafayette silk flower company that’s considered to be one of Louisiana’s fastest-growing businesses, has tied the knot with one of the country’s largest bridal companies.

David’s Bridal, the Pennsylvania-based bridal business with more than 300 stores across North America, announced Wednesday that it was partnering with Something Borrowed Blooms to bring the company’s premium silk flowers to more couples nationwide.

"Since founding Something Borrowed Blooms, we've been on a mission to revolutionize the wedding flower industry, offering more affordable, convenient, and sustainable wedding flowers for all couples,” said Lauren Bercier, the co-founder and CEO of Something Borrowed Blooms. “Partnering with David's Bridal, a legacy brand within the wedding and events industry, is a pivotal moment in that journey; allowing us to reach and empower more couples with budget and eco-friendly options throughout the wedding planning process. We're proud to share the Something Borrowed Blooms experience with the David's Bridal community."

As a result of the partnership, Something Borrowed Blooms will be featured on David’s Bridal website, and Diamond Loyalty members will have special offers from Something Borrowed Blooms.

Something Borrowed Blooms has made waves in the wedding and events industry over the last few years. The company has a rent-to-return model for its premium silk flower arrangements that tends to be less expensive and more environmentally friendly than live flower arrangements.

The company, founded by Bercier and Laken Swan, serves around 1,200 weddings a month.

"Florals are an incredibly important component to the wedding day - they tell a story, elevate the ambiance, and bring joy to the big day," said Jim Marcum, the CEO for David's Bridal. "Our new partnership with Something Borrowed Blooms was a natural fit. Their core belief that your budget shouldn't limit your big moments as well as their thirst for innovation runs parallel with our foundational values in service. We are thrilled to team up with Something Borrowed Blooms to bring even more value to our customers."

Something Borrowed Blooms has been working to position itself for the post-pandemic wedding boom over the last few years. The company unveiled an expanded warehouse in 2021, and in 2022 the company was named the 74th fastest-growing company in the Southeast U.S.
