Lafayette Utilities System issues a boil advisory for parts of the city

Lafayette Utilities System issues a boil advisory for residents and businesses in the areas north of Willow Street, south of Gloria Switch Road, east of Roger Road and west of Wilderness Trail.

Customers in the affected area advised to boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, using it for food prep or rinsing food, according to an LUS news release. In Lafayette Parish, a boil water advisory is also in effect for certain schools.
