LagoonFest, Treasure Coast Songwriters Festival, dueling pianos top events this weekend
Celebrate the Indian River Lagoon, take the kids to a fishing tournament and enjoy live music — including dueling pianos — this weekend.
Here’s your Five on Friday weekend update for the Treasure Coast.
Indian River County
LagoonFest
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
Environmental Learning Center, 255 Live Oak Drive, Vero Beach
The festival features quick canoe rides, eco-friendly exhibitors and vendors, food trucks, a touch tank, a treasure hunt, activities and crafts for all ages, and music throughout the event, including the Vero Beach Pipes & Drums at 11:30 a.m.
$10 for adults, $5 for children, $10 quick canoe trips
St. Lucie County
Fish Kids Seawall Tournament
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (registration starts at 10 a.m.)
Causeway Cove Marina, 601 Seaway Drive, Fort Pierce
Angler Armory Fishing Club will be hosting and providing free bait. Bring your own fishing pole. The event also includes a free raffle for kids, a bounce house and slide, a hula hoop contest, food trucks, music and awards. The tournament is open to ages 15 and younger.

Dueling Pianos
7-10 p.m. Saturday
Sailfish Brewing Company, 130 N. Second St., Fort Pierce
Enjoy a night of lively musical talent from Premier Dueling Pianos, a Central Florida dueling piano entertainment company.

Treasure Coast Songwriters Festival
7-10 p.m. Friday, 1-10 p.m. Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday
Pirates Cove Resort & Marina, 4307 S.E. Bayview Street, Stuart; Manatee Island Bar & Grill, 4817 S.E. Dixie Highway, Stuart; Latitudes at the Marriott Resort Hutchinson Island, 555 N.E. Ocean Blvd, Stuart
The event features more than 40 performances from local Florida and Nashville-based BMI songwriters who will perform and share the stories behind their hit songs. These songwriters have written hits for top country artists, including Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney and Chris Stapleton. Show times for each location vary daily; check the schedule on the website for more details.

Indian RiverSide Park, 1707 N.E. Indian River Drive, Jensen Beach
Enjoy a free concert with Midnight Dawn performing a tribute to the women of rock. They are a four-piece, female-fronted, high-energy rock band. Food and beverages are for sale. No coolers allowed.
