Laith Ashley Thanks Taylor Swift For 'Lavender Haze' Music Video Cameo

Laith Ashley plays Taylor Swift's love interest in her new music video for the Midnights track "Lavender Haze." Ashley had already appeared in the super-teaser for the Midnights visuals, but the long-anticipated music video for the song has now officially come out.

The trans model, actor, and singer tweeted his reaction to appearing in "Lavender Haze."

"Thank you so much [Taylor Swift] for allowing me to play a small part in your story," Ashley wrote. "You are brilliant and this is an experience I will never forget."

He added: "Still at a loss for words. Trying to gather myself and my thoughts. I am so grateful. Thank you [Taylor Swift]."

Ashley also shared an Instagram post thanking Swift for casting him in the video.

"Your storytelling abilities through your music and visuals continue to leave me in awe, inspired, and hopeful," he wrote. "Thank you for being an ally. Representation matters. AND LOVE WILL ALWAYS WIN!"

For her part, Swift also enjoyed her experience filming with Ashley. The popstar teased the "Lavender Haze" music video with the following statement:

"The 'Lavender Haze' video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze. There is my incredible costar [Laith Ashley] who I absolutely adored working with."

Swifties are freaking out over the gorgeous "Lavender Haze" music video, and Ashley's cameo just makes it even more special and exciting.

In the meantime, the Midnights era will live on!
