Lake County Development Council sets date for Economic Forum

Sep. 3—The Lake County Development Council announced that its 2023 Economic Forum will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 19 at St. Noel's Banquet Center, 35200 Chardon Road in Willoughby Hills.

The cost, which includes breakfast, is $30 for members and $40 for non-members.

The guest speaker will be Ted C. Jones, chief economist and senior vice president of the Stewart Title Guaranty Company. He will share all that people need to prepare for growth and prosperity in 2024 along with updates from the previous year, according to the release.

In addition, the opening speaker will be Doug Meil, assistant director of UrbanAI for the City of Cleveland, and he will give an introduction to Artificial Intelligence.

At this year's Economic Forum Breakfast the Development Council will also honor Tim Cahill, emeritus on the LCDC board and event chair for the last nine years. Cahill will be turning the event chair over to board member Greg Sanders, the release stated.

The LCDC also will be giving out its first Economic Development Grant at this year's event. The grant will be up to $5,000 and rewarded to a business owner in Lake County.
