Lake County hosts Operation Green Light this week

Lake County joins other Central Florida counties in helping drivers get back on the road and save money this week.

The Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller said they would host Operation Green Light this Monday through Friday.

The initiative will help people who have suspended driver’s licenses to save money on fines and fees.

Drivers who also have overdue collections can pay them during this period.

Individuals who want to coordinate a fee payment agreement can go to the Lake County Courthouse. You can email GreenLight@LakeCountyClerk.org to inquire about electronic payments.

Last year’s Operation Green Light collected $52,842 in overdue payments.

Those who complete their payment or set up a plan by 5 p.m. on Friday will be eligible to reinstate their driver’s license as long as they meet the requirements.
