Lake Local school board OKs buying a dump truck

Monday meeting

KEY ACTION: Approved a truck purchase.

DISCUSSION: Authorized the purchase of a 2022 Chevy dump truck from Schoner Chevrolet at a cost of approximately $65,000 with a trade-in. The district will be adding a plow, salt box and a warning light on the top of the cab. The truck is available now and will be delivered soon to the district.

OTHER ACTIONS:

Accepted the following donations:

  • $350 for Lake Middle/High School — Biology classes, for capped test tubes, from the Estate of John Rochus III

  • $5,000 for the Lake Primary School Principal's Fund from Lake Primary PTO

  • For the David VanderKaay Memorial Scholarship: $1,000 from the Varner Insurance Group, $100 from the Lake Local Education Association and $500 from William Stetler.

UP NEXT: Meets 6 p.m. Nov. 21 at Lake Elementary cafetorium.
