Lake Mary High running backs coach Adam Donnelly, who was hospitalized with complications from the COVID-19 virus last week, was moved to the intensive care unit Sunday, according to the Lake Mary Rams Facebook account.

Donnelly’s wife, Jessica, has also been diagnosed with the disease. The couple has two young children, Olivia and Landon.

Adam Donnelly has been an assistant under head coach Scott Perry for the past 15 years. He also teaches geometry at the school.

He is one of several Orlando area high school coaches who have battled COVID-19 during the past eight months, including Foundation head coach Brad Lord, Cocoa head coach Ryan Schneider and numerous others.

Beloved Apopka boys basketball assistant coach Earl Graham died in January at age 70 after contracting COVID-19.

Lake Mary High’s Rebecca Devor has set up funds to help the family with meals and other expenses, inviting people donate via Venmo under the user name @david-devor and PayPal under the user name @devorfamily.
