A Lake Norman bar is closing and will switch to a familiar brand under new ownership
The Hideaway LKN, a full-service bar that opened in Lake Norman’s Cornelius community in late 2022 is changing owners and rebranding.
“As of Monday, The Hideaway will be under new ownership and will soon become Dive Bar, a great arcade bar brand with locations currently in Mooresville and Hickory,” a Facebook post said.
“We know that some of you may be wondering why we are selling the bar. The truth is, we are simply ready for a new chapter in our lives, and we are excited to see what the future holds for The Hideaway under an incredible new ownership and becomes....Dive Bar Cornelius!!!!”
The Hideaway will close Oct. 31, and plans call for it to reopen as Dive Bar Cornelius on Nov. 7.
As The Hideaway, the bar offered craft cocktails, an extensive wine list and 16 rotating taps filled with beer, seltzer, wine and cider. Live music and sports were among the entertainment offerings, along with open mic nights.
The Dive Bar — which also plans to open a location in High Point this December — offers a variety of games at its full-service bars, including billiards, darts, skee ball and more. Food offerings include pizza, pretzel bites and walking tacos.
“We are confident that Dive Bar will continue to provide the Cornelius community with a great place to gather, play, and have fun. They have a great reputation for their arcade games, delicious food, and snarky take on nightlife,” the post continued.
“We want to thank you all for making The Hideaway such a special place for us. It has been our honor to serve you, and we are grateful for the new friends we have made and the memories that we have shared together.”
