Lake Tyler boat ramps reopen following midweek storms

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – All of the public boat ramps for Lake Tyler and Lake Tyler East have reopened after being closed due to heavy rainfall and windy conditions from storms earlier in the week, officials say.

According to a release, all of the public boat ramps are open, but Tyler Water Utilities (TWU) still advised lake users to be cautious while on the water, as there may be floating debris as a result of the storms.

The City of Tyler also said that there is potential for high wakes, which may affect boaters as well as properties on the shoreline. TWU encouraged boaters to be mindful of their speeds on the lake, as to prevent damage caused by wakes.
