Lakeland resumed its regular schedule Tuesday for collection of residential garbage, recycling and containerized (bagged or canned) yard waste, as well as commercial dumpster and roll-off service.
Yard debris from Hurricane Ian will be collected as soon as possible, city spokesperson Kevin Cook said. There is no need to call for bulk pickup, as crews will be collecting on all streets within the city limits.

Lakeland asks residents to be patient with the collection of storm debris. Yard trash and other debris should be placed at curbside, with yard waste and other debris items in separate piles.
City crews will make more than one pass to ensure that all debris is collected, Cook said.
