Lakeland Community College to host NEO Nonprofit Summit

Mar. 8—Lakeland Community College will host the sixth annual Northeast Ohio Nonprofit Summit from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 10.

The event will be held at the Holden University Center located on Route 306, directly across from the college's main entrance at 7700 Clocktower Drive in Kirtland.

The theme for the summit is "Helping Nonprofits Reach their Peak Performance," Lakeland officials confirmed, with breakout tracks including Peak Performance, Peak Resource Development, Peak Communications and Peak Leadership and Sustainability.

In his keynote address, Bill Stanczykiewicz, senior assistant dean for external relations, will discuss current trends in fundraising for nonprofits.

Stanczykiewicz also serves as clinical associate professor and director of The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Other agenda topics, covering 15 sessions, include board ethics, planned giving, employee retention, communication skills and recruiting volunteers.

"We are bringing together respected colleagues and expert professionals to advance the nonprofit community in Northeast Ohio," said Amy Sabath, director for Lakeland's Nonprofit and Public Service Center and government relations.

"This year's summit will allow participants to gain valuable information to take back to their organization, reconnect with their peers and make new contacts."

Tickets to attend the 2023 Northeast Ohio Nonprofit Summit are $100 per person, which includes a continental breakfast, boxed lunch and program materials.

Discounts are available when registering multiple employees from the same organization.
