Lakers Hold First Practice Session Since Kobe's Death

The Los Angeles Lakers held their first practice session since former star Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash three days earlier. The session was held at the UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo, California, on January 29.

Nine people died in the crash, including Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, and Ara Zobayan, media reported.

The NBA postponed the Lakers-Clippers game scheduled for Tuesday, January 28, "out of respect for the Lakers organization, which is deeply grieving the tragic loss of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people in a helicopter crash on Sunday,” the league said in a statement.
