Lakers owner Jeanie Buss engaged to actor Jay Mohr

Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and actor Jay Mohr are forging a new roster.

Buss and Mohr recently got engaged after about five years of dating, TMZ reported Wednesday, citing sources.

Buss, 61, was previously engaged to Phil Jackson, who won five championships as the head coach of the Lakers.

She and Mohr began dating the year after her 2016 breakup with Jackson, who also won six titles coaching the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls and had multiple stints with the Knicks, first as a player and later as the team’s president.

In 2020, Buss — who has been the Lakers’ controlling owner since the 2013 death of her father, Jerry Buss — became the first woman to win an NBA title in the role.

Sports are said to be a major mutual interest between Buss and Mohr, who made his film debut as an agent in “Jerry Maguire” and began hosting a Fox Sports Radio talk show in 2015.

The New Jersey-born Mohr, 52, is also known for hosting “Last Comic Standing” and for roles on the comedy series “Action” and “Gary Unmarried.”

Buss often posts about Mohr on social media, including last year with an Instagram image captioned, “I guess a girl can have it all.”

“Happiness. Love. Joy,” Buss wrote. “That’s what you have given me on my birthday and every day in between.”
