For the first time since the Los Angeles Lakers routed the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day 2018, LeBron James will face off in an NBA Basketball game against Steph Curry. Since then, injuries and the coronavirus pandemic interrupted potential showdowns between the two players who were the center of four straight meetings in the NBA Finals between 2015 and 2018.
So for the first time in over two years, we will finally have LeBron James and Steph Curry facing off against each other in a real game that matters. We aren’t counting the one preseason game they played just before last regular season. In addition to the Curry-LeBron showdown, the Warriors are also playing much better basketball since the addition of Draymond Green. However, the Warriors have lost their last two, a home loss to a strong Indiana Pacers team and a road loss against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets, while the Lakers enter Monday’s game winners of five straight.
