MANITOWOC — Lakeshore Humane Society, 1551 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc, recently received a donation of a 1976 Corvette Stingray following the passing of Maribel resident Sid Kittleson.

“Sid had the shelter in his thoughts long before his passing, as he held a deep appreciation for animals, as he planned to leave a piece of his legacy to help the lost and homeless animals in his community,” the Society said in a news release.

“Although our animals would love to feel the wind through their ears riding in the T-top, the vehicle will be sold with the proceeds going towards an upcoming project.

“We are truly appreciative of Sid’s thoughtful donation and will be hanging a picture at the shelter in memory of Sid and his beautiful Corvette.”

Historical Society partners with Holla to bring historic dinner to life Oct. 19

These experiences, named “Supper at Sorenson,” are available on select dates with limited seating.
