Lakeside diner comes with Indiana estate — and its epic views — for sale. Check it out
A beautiful lakeside estate with a little something extra has landed on the real estate market in Syracuse, Indiana, for $1.799 million.
The seven-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home, with its drop-dead gorgeous views, actually has a 1950s-style diner complete with checkered flooring, crimson red booths and a silver counter top, photos show.
But there’s more surprises both inside and outside of its 4,476-square feet including:
Wood beams
Round fireplace
Open concept floor plan
Heated floors in primary bathroom
Four guest bedrooms
Outdoor kitchen
Fire pit
Patios
Decking
Docks
The diner is actually a one-bedroom guesthouse, listing agent Paton Showley told Realtor.
“It’s really just a guesthouse with a full kitchen that became an overflow place when they had lots of company,” Showley told Realtor. “Then they got the idea to finish it out in a diner style and make it for entertainment, so that’s what they did. … They even had their high school photos blown up of their classmates, as one of the wall decorations.”
Syracuse is about 50 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.
