Lamar Jackson tests positive for COVID-19: NFL

The NFL's reigning MVP Lamar Jackson has tested positive for the coronavirus

The league published a report Thursday (November 26) saying that the Baltimore Ravens quarterback would not be able to play in a game set for Sunday,

It has already been rescheduled from its time slot after Thanksgiving dinner.

The news follows a coronavirus outbreak among Ravens staff and players this week.

Jackson is one of ten who have been sidelined, a situation which could threaten Sunday's game, too.

The NFL has not yet made any announcement about whether the Raven's face-off with the Pittsburg Steelers would be pushed back yet again.

But a source told ESPN that there was "no way" it could go forward as scheduled.

The network also said that Baltimore's head coach had told players they would not be allowed into their training facility until Monday (November 30) at the earliest.

As of Thursday night there had been no official response from the Ravens.

But earlier in the week, the team issued a statement saying they had disciplined a staff member for conduct related to the COVID-19 outbreak.
