Lambertville Makes Travel Channel's 'Most Charming Towns' List
LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — We know how charming you are, Lambertville. And now the rest of the country does too, thanks to the Travel Channel.
The network, which also operates a website, has selected Lambertville as one of the 50 most charming small towns in America.
The Travel Channel picked one small town per state. When highlighting Lambertville, Travel Channel editors pointed out it's the antiques capital of the state, and home to many artists and crafters.
The feature also noted the proximity to the picturesque Delaware River, as well as the town's remarkable architecture.
Here's what Travel Channel had to say about Lambertville:
“The Antiques Capital of New Jersey,” Lambertville is home to a variety of talented artists and crafters whose shops and galleries sit alongside the scenic Delaware River. This town of 4,000 residents, founded in 1705, also boasts federal townhouses and Victorian homes, a restored 19th-century train depot, Zagat-rated restaurants and award-winning hotels and B&Bs. Shoppers can find treasures at The People’s Store Antiques and Design Center and other shops on Bridge, Main and Union Streets.
Other noteworthy towns to make the list include: Kennebunkport, Maine; Nantucket, Massachusetts; Taos, New Mexico; and Whitefish, Montana.
