LaMelo Ball unanimously selected as First Team All-Rookie along with Anthony Edwards

One day after winning the Rookie of the Year award, LaMelo Ball was one of two players along with Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards to earn unanimous First Team All-Rookie honors on Thursday. Ball and Edwards were joined by Tyrese Haliburton of Sacramento, Saddiq Bey of Detroit and Jae’Sean Tate of Houston on the First Team.

The Second Team was comprised of Immanuel Quickley of New York, Desmond Bane of Memphis, Isaiah Stewart of Detroit, Isaac Okoro of Cleveland and Patrick Williams of Chicago.

Both Ball and Edwards appeared on the First Team on all 99 ballots while Haliburton was on First Team on 98 of the 99 ballots, landing on the Second Team on one ballot. Bey was on First Team on 63 of the ballots and Second Team on the remaining 36 while Tate was on First Team on 57 ballots and Second Team on 40.

Quickley narrowly finished on the Second Team behind Tate, landing on 51 First Team ballots and 46 Second Team ballots. Facundo Campazzo of Denver and Cole Anthony of Orlando finished just outside of earning Second Team honors.
