Sep. 15—VNEOC has new website

Veterans Northeast Outreach Center in Haverhill has a new website. The nonprofit organization provides a full continuum of care to veterans and their families in Essex, Middlesex and Barnstable Counties in Massachusetts and Rockingham and Hillsborough Counties in New Hampshire. Their services include emergency and permanent housing solutions, rental eviction assistance, employment services, legal services, healthcare support, a weekly food pantry and more. New restaurant downtown

The former STUFT, a Mexican street food restaurant at 150 Washington St., will become "Crusttown Eats" and plans to open Sept. 24 for Team Haverhill's River Ruckus celebration. Artist, designer and architect Alexander Demoria of Haverhill says he wants to bring live music back to the city and will also offer burgers, wings, burritos, tacos and a full bar. He plans to offer just food during River Ruckus then fully open sometime after the event. A restored patio will offer outdoor seating. Visit www.instagram.com/crusttowneats.

Roasted Coffee Bar

The former G-Raff's Cafe at 181 Groveland St. is now the Roasted Coffee Bar. Patrons have been raving about their breakfast sandwiches like fresh roasted turkey and buttermilk fried chicken, toast with smashed avocado as well as various coffee offerings. Azul, authentic Mexican food

Just west of the Roasted Coffee Bar is Azul Mexican Restaurant at 316 Groveland St. Azul is getting rave reviews for its authentic Mexican fare. Visit online at www.azulmexicanhaverhill.com.

Triana's Real Mexican food

Located at 30 Emerson St., just around the corner from Washington Square, Triana's Real Mexican Food is another Mexican restaurant that is also getting big thumbs ups from patrons. Visit them on Facebook.

Come to think of it, Haverhill has a lot more Mexican/southwestern style restaurants, including Taco Lupitas and El Taco Guapo, both on River Street, Barrio at Harbor Place, Grande Mexico in Stateline Plaza, Chipotle on Plaistow Road, and Casa Blanca in Washington Square. There's also two Taco Bells.
