Lancaster County Airport to get $3M bond to build general aviation terminal

The Lancaster County Airport is expected to spend a $3 million grant to replace its 44-year-old terminal with a 5,200-square-foot general aviation terminal building.

The building will double the size of the current terminal.

The grant should be finalized in March with construction beginning in April.

The airport was one of 99 airports in the U.S. chosen this year to receive funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law- Airport Terminal Program.

“We are thrilled to receive this federal funding for the new airport terminal, which will reduce the funding we anticipated spending from the county’s general budget,” said Dennis Marstall, the county administrator. “Building the new airport terminal is just the beginning of the big plans we have to remake the Lancaster County Airport into a dynamic asset for the County.”
