Lancaster Festival: What you need to know

The Lancaster Festival will run from Thursday to July 29, with Andy Grammer and Sheryl Crow headlining. Here are some things you need to know about the event:

  • Grammer will perform with the Lancaster Festival Orchestra at the Wendel Concert Stage at Ohio University on July 22. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 in advance for lawn tickets and $55 at the gate. Student/child tickets are $10. A table of 10 ranges for $550 to $600.

  • Crow will perform with the festival orchestra at the Wendel Concert Stage on July 29 to close out the festival. Gates open at 6 p.m. and show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 in advance for lawn tickets and $55 at the gate. Student/child tickets are $10. A table of 10 ranges for $550 to $600.

  • The Red Hot Chilli Pipers will perform at 7:30 p.m. on July 26 with gates opening at 6 p.m. Advance lawn tickets are $30 and $40 at the gate. Student/child tickets are $10 and a table of 10 is $300.

  • A new event this year is called "Rock the Pops." with the festival orchestra performing rock standards with rock violinist Siobahn Cronin at 7:30 p.m. on July 25 at the Wendel Concert Stage. Gates open at 6 p.m.

  • Glass containers are not allowed on the concert grounds. Free plastic containers will be available at the gate to transfer liquids from glass containers into them.

  • Festival goers will be checked for weapons by walking through a metal detector to speed up the security process instead of having their bags or coolers inspected. Weapons are not allowed on the grounds.

  • Free parking will be available at the OUL lots with golf cart rides to the concert site available for those with mobility issues. Those needing help should turn on their hazard lights when entering the parking to be directed to the mobility-assist section of the parking lot.

  • Free shuttle service is also available for the Crow and Grammer concerts from the River Valley Mall at 1600 River Valley Circle North and from the Fairfield County Fairgrounds at 157 E. Fair Ave. Shuttle service begins at 5:45 p.m. with the last shuttle leaving at 7:15 p.m. Passengers can bring their personal belongings with them.

  • There will be a fireworks show after both the Grammer and Crow shows.
