Lancaster man indicted on 11 sexually-related charges involving a minor

LANCASTER − A Fairfield County grand jury indicted a Lancaster man on 11 sexually-related counts against a minor.

Alexander James Sherrick is facing a first-degree count of rape against a child under 13. He was born in 1992, but court records did not show the month or day.

He was also indicted on the following charges:

  • Four second-degree felony charges of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance.

  • A third-degree felony of attempted illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance.

  • A fifth-degree felony of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance.

  • A fourth-degree felony of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person.

  • Two fifth-degree felonies of voyeurism.

  • A first-degree misdemeanor of attempted voyeurism.
