Lancaster man injured in garage fire

LANCASTER― The Lancaster Fire Department responded to a fire early Monday morning just after midnight that left one man injured, according to Slade Schultz of the LFD.

When firefighters arrived to the 500 block of North Eastwood the detached garage was fully engulfed in flames. Schultz said firefighters performed a quick knockdown. A nearby vehicle was damaged, as well as the siding of a neighbor's home.

One resident was reportedly injured and is being treated for burns. He was taken to Fairfield Medical Center and was then transferred to OSU. His condition is stable. The cause is currently under investigation.
