Lancaster native opens Wellness Within Chiropractic

LANCASTER − A Lancaster native and Fisher Catholic High School graduate has opened up her very own chiropractic care center in her hometown.

Wellness Within Chiropractic officially celebrated its opening on Tuesday with a ribbon cutting. Despite this, the chiropractic care center has been operating and serving the people of Lancaster since May.

The Doctor

Dr. Emily Miller was born and raised in Lancaster, graduating from Fisher Catholic High School in 2011. She attended Ohio University, where she received her bachelor's degree in exercise physiology. From there, she attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Now, Miller has opened up her very own practice in the town she grew up in. According to Wellness Within's website, she is honored to serve her hometown community by providing specific chiropractic care for the whole family.

"I am a pregnancy, pediatric, and family-focused practice," said Miller. "So, I see a lot of pregnant women and babies. I've seen from a few hours old up to 92 years old. I'd just like to be able to provide the community with holistic-minded care."

The Services

The full list of services offered at Wellness Within include the following:

  • Chiropractic (Family, pregnancy, pediatric)

  • X-Rays

  • Ultrasound Therapy

  • Cupping

  • Electrical Stimulation

  • Hot/Cold Therapy

The Name

Miller said that she chose the name of her practice to reflect the ways in which she hopes to help her patients.

"I like to allow the body to heal itself from inside out," said Miller. "So, you're finding the wellness within you."

According to Miller, this approach to care is the reason why she chose to open up her very own practice in Lancaster. She said that she sees an increasing dependency on drugs and that she wanted to bring a different approach to her community.

"A lot of the community, not just in Lancaster but all over the world is becoming a lot more drug dependent," said Miller. "I wanted to get this community away from that and be able to live a happier, healthier lifestyle."

The Rest

Aside from Dr. Miller, Wellness Within only has one employee on staff, her mother.

Wellness Within is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with hours on Wednesdays being 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wellness Within Chiropractic is located at 2658 N Columbus St, Suite G, Lancaster, OH, 43130.
