Lansing Hall of Fame class includes Dake, Duthie, Dean and '60s baseball teams
Four-time world champion wrestler Kyle Dake will be among four inductees into the Lansing Central School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Other Class of 2022 inductees are coaching legend Stuart Dean, two-time New York state golf champion John Duthie and Lansing's 1963-65 baseball teams.
The ceremony will take place Nov. 26 at LakeWatch Inn in Lansing. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7, with inductions to follow.

Kyle Dake
Dake is one of the top wrestlers in United States history and claimed his fourth World Wrestling Championships gold medal in September after winning a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. He has a combined record of 17-0 during those championship events.
He won two New York state titles at Lansing High School, finishing with a career record of 212-14.
Dake went on to become the only wrestler in NCAA history to win four national championships in four different weight classes while competing for Cornell University. His record at Cornell was 137-4.
Stuart Dean
Dean graduated from Ithaca High School and played football at Syracuse University and Ithaca College. While still at Ithaca College, he became a JV basketball coach at Lansing in 1978-79 to begin a career at the school that continued through 2018.
He coached Lansing's girls basketball team to 20 Interscholastic Athletic Conference division titles and 11 overall IAC championships. His teams advanced to nine Section 4 finals, winning twice, and the 2000-2001 team posted a 26-1 record in capturing the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C title. Dean's overall record was 503-129.
Dean coached Lansing's baseball team to a 26-0 record and the Class C state title in 2012. In 10 seasons, his teams won seven division titles, four overall IAC titles and two Section 4 championships. His coaching record in baseball was 169-34.
Dean also coached varsity football for five seasons, finishing with a record of 26-19, and multiple JV teams. All told, he coached 1,755 games at Lansing.
John Duthie
Duthie won New York state individual titles in golf in 2005 and 2007 to highlight numerous achievements in the sport while at Lansing.
He was IAC MVP in 2006 and 2007 and IAC individual medalist in 2007. He won the Dean Witter Award as Most Outstanding Golfer in the Section 4 championship tournament as a senior.
Duthie placed second in the New York State Junior Amateur in 2006 and won the New York State Amateur title in 2007.
He played collegiately at Arkansas State and Towson University. He is continuing pursuit of his PGA Tour card.
Lansing 1963-65 baseball teams
Starting with three wins in 1962, the Bobcats won 32 consecutive games in baseball. They captured the Tri-County Conference championship each season from 1963 to 1965.
The teams were coached by Lansing Hall of Famer Stan Sobus.
Five players were on the team each year from 1962-65: Harvey Baker, Dale Christopher, Bobby Christopher, Terry Teeter and Billy Howell. Three-year players were Tommy Sweazey, Larry Patana, Mike Moses, Roger LaLonde and Bobby Jordan. Two-year players were Billy Teeter, Carl Moravec, Ronnie Howell, Dave Howell, Donnie Howell, Butch Ayers, Donnie LaLonde, Billy Eastman, Hayes "Butch" Salsman, Eddie Flynn, Billy Rounds, Leo Collins, Gordy Begent, Mel Patterson, Bob Davis, John "JR" Rogers, Don Ellis and Paul Diegl.
