Lansing man killed in crash involving semi truck Monday in Westphalia Twp.

WESTPHALIA TWP. – A Lansing man was killed when his vehicle collided with a semi truck Monday morning at a Clinton County intersection.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office identified the man who died as Jeffrey Blastic.

Blastic was driving south on Grange Road about 8:25 a.m. when his vehicle crashed into the trailer of a southbound semi driven by a Belding man, sheriff's officials said in a news release.

The driver of the semi was turning from Grange onto eastbound Lehman Road when the crash happened, they said.

No one else was riding in Blastic's vehicle, The truck driver was not injured.

The crash remained under investigation, and no other details were released,

Michigan State Police and local fire and rescue personnel helped at the scene.
