Lansing store selling Lions-themed popcorn

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — You can feel the excitement and hear the popping for this weekend’s NFC Championship game between the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers at a locally owned shop near downtown Lansing.

The workers at POP-ity Popcorn Co. on Cesar Chavez Ave near Pennsylvania Ave. are making and selling Go Lions popcorn.

Go Lions popcorn is blueberry and vanilla flavored. “We probably up to over 200 to 300 bags of popcorn within not even 24 hours, POP-ity Popcorn Co. owner Bob Matthiesen told 6 News. “This company’s never really been open really for the public and I’ve been really trying to do that. And with this it has really been helpful.”

POP-ity Popcorn Co. isn’t the only local place selling Lions-themed goods. The MSU Dairy Store is selling Lion Track ice cream and Biggby Coffee is offering anyone wearing Lions gear half-off a specialty drink called The Black Eye.
