Large Group Wearing PPE Walks Through Locked-Down Melbourne Housing Complex

A large group of people in protective outfits were seen walking together on July 7 at a public housing estate in the Melbourne suburb of Flemington after several buildings were locked down due to an outbreak of COVID-19 .

Nine public housing towers in Melbourne’s northern suburbs were placed under lockdown by the state government on July 4 after a cluster of cases was discovered in the apartment buildings. Police and health workers were also seen going door-to-door inside one of the estates.

On July 8 the lockdown was expanded to the city’s entire metropolitan area. The state’s border with New South Wales was also closed at midnight.
