Large Heath Fire Threatens Homes in Poole

A heath fire driven by strong winds grew quickly in Poole, southern England, on Saturday, April 23, prompting road closures and the evacuation of some homes in the area, the Dorset & Wilshire Fire & Rescue Service (DWFRS) said.

This footage from Odhran Penfold, who said it was shot around 7 pm, shows flames approaching homes at the edge of the heath.

Firefighters were still working to contain the blaze as of around 9.30 pm local time on Saturday, according to DWFRS.
