Large Plain Pizza and Pints moves to new location, donates 50% of proceeds to cancer research

Large Plain Pizza and Pints held a grand opening event at their new location and donated half of the proceeds to cancer research.

50% of all proceeds went to A Glimmer of Hope Foundation in memory of owner Paul Powell’s late mother, Wendy Powell. Today would have been Wendy’s birthday. She passed away in 2009.

“She helped me get the business started in 2008, so I wanted to do this big grand opening event and raise the money for A Glimmer of Hope,” Paul Powell said.

A Glimmer of Hope is a Pittsburgh-based cancer research organization.

Large Plain Pizza and Pints new location at 1411 Duncan Avenue in Pittsburgh is the new address for the restaurant, the original location opened on Babcock Boulevard in 2008.

Large Plain Pizza and Pints, formally Large Plain Pizza, serves Pittsburgh style pizza, wings, hoagies and salads. Read more about the business here.
