Large police presence in Granite City neighborhood

GRANITE CITY, Ill. – Officers from multiple jurisdictions descended upon a neighborhood in Granite City, Illinois, late Tuesday night for an undisclosed reason.

A FOX 2 news crew was at the scene in the 2400 block of Delmar Avenue and observed police vehicles circling the neighborhood. A K9 unit arrived and at one point, law enforcement deployed a drone in the area. It’s unclear if the police are actively searching for someone.

Residents walked outside to watch the drama unfold and told our news crew what they believed happened that evening. However, police have yet to discuss anything.
