Large Smoke Clouds Waft Over Santa Barbara County as Alisal Fire Grows

Large clouds of smoke wafted skyward over Santa Barbara County, as the Alisal Fire grew to 13,400 acres as of Tuesday, October 12.

According to local authorities the blaze remained at 5 percent containment as crews battled flames fuelled by persistent winds.

Santa Barbara County’s Office of Emergency Management issued fresh evacuation orders for areas near Calle Mariposa Reina.
