The largest job fair is returning to Acadiana in the Cajun dome

Consisting of nearly 100 of the region’s top employers, if you are currently looking to advance or launch your career, the LEDA Job Fair may be the right event for you.

The annual job fair is a free event open to the public on Tuesday, May 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette. In its twenty-eighth year, the LEDA Job Fair is the largest job recruitment event in Acadiana. Hundreds of Acadiana’s top employers have successfully recruited job candidates at this one-day event.

“The LEDA Job Fair is an excellent opportunity to meet face to face with hiring managers from multiple employers all on one day and in one place,” says Ryan LaGrange, LEDA Manager of Workforce Development. “Every year, we hear success stories following the job fair from both job seekers and employers. This event continues to have a tremendous impact on the community, assisting both job seekers and businesses.”

The E-Application Station and mobile unit, sponsored by the Louisiana Workforce Commission- American Job Center and Acadiana Workforce Solutions, will be available allowing job seekers to apply for positions available at participating companies, in addition to searching and applying for thousands of additional jobs in the region and throughout the state. The Job Fair will not only bring job seekers together with recruiters and hiring managers but will offer two seminars. The first seminar at 10:00 a.m. discusses a LinkedIn for your Job Workshop, and the other at 11:30 a.m. discusses How to Write an Impactful Resume for today's Job Market.
