Largo man arrested after attacking woman, 66, on Indian Rocks Beach, deputies say
A Largo man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he pinned a woman to the ground and masturbated on her in Indian Rocks Beach early Thursday morning.
About 5:15 a.m., Pinellas County deputies responded to the area of 10th Avenue and Gulf Boulevard in Indian Rocks Beach after receiving a 911 call from a 66-year-old woman, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Deputies say the woman was walking north on Indian Rocks Beach from Fourth Avenue when she saw Timothy James Graham Jr., 44, jogging north on the beach near the dunes. Once at 16th Avenue, the woman turned around and began walking south along the waterline of the beach, passing Graham. The woman saw Graham following behind her, masturbating with his penis exposed, the news release states.
The woman was calling 911 and attempting to flee the beach when Graham tackled her from behind, pinned her to the ground and tossed her cellphone into the sand. While they were on the ground, “Graham began to thrust his body into the victim while continuing to masturbate,” the news release states. Graham then got up, took the woman’s phone and fled the area before being captured by deputies.
Graham was booked at the Pinellas County Jail and faces charges including robbery, battery on a person 65 or older, tampering with evidence, false imprisonment, tampering with a witness and exposure of sexual organs. His bond information was not immediately available.
Florida Department of Corrections records show Graham previously spent 21 years in prison for attempted first-degree murder and arson. He was released in May 2023. In November 2023, he was arrested in Pinellas County on a charge of exposure of sexual organs, court records show.
