May 22—LaRosa's Pizzeria, one of Madison County's newest dining options, will open with an official ribbon-cutting celebration at 10 a.m. Monday.
Richmond's LaRosa's Pizzeria will be the southernmost LaRosa's in the country. Gary Holland, CEO of One Holland, said they chose Richmond because they feel Richmond is a great trade area.
The restaurant will include a large patio, full-service bar, and a 160-person capacity dining room. A press release for the ribbon-cutting said all of LaRosa's famous family recipe pizzas and other Italian favorites would be available for dine-in, pick-up, and delivery.
Holland said the oversized patio would be the perfect place to "enjoy some top-shelf bourbon in this beautiful weather."
According to a release, the first 50 guests will receive free pizza for a year, two large one-topping pizzas each month for 12 months, and the first 100 guests will receive a free LaRosa's-branded three-pizza warming bag filled with LaRosa's swag — including a t-shirt, sauce and a pizza cutter when the restaurant opens at 10:30 a.m.
A ceremonial check will be presented to God's Outreach as a result of the LaRosa's Lantern Ridge pre-opening friends and family event.
"As we open each LaRosa's restaurant in the Central Kentucky region, One Holland tries to give back to the community in hopes that we can make a positive impact from day one," Holland said.
For those who are used to seeing LaRosa's Pizzeria and Skyline Chili together, Holland said they are currently exploring locations in Richmond for a Skyline Chili.
