Sean Larsen and Cody Godwin had 18.51 pounds to win the Xtreme Bass Series Central Florida Division tournament on Sept. 18 on Lake Arbuckle. Colby Evans and Jesse Smith took second place with 18.19 pounds and also big bass with an 8.05-pounder. Troy Tucker and Terry Tucker placed third with 15.37 pounds.

Chris Romberger and Ken Romberger had 14.65 pounds to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Sunday Open tournament on Sept. 18 on the Winter Haven South Chain. Roger Weigle took second place with 14.60 pounds and also had big bass with a 4.25-pounder. Daniel Gaspar and Tyson Dunlap placed third with 13.85 pounds.

Dave Bear had 16.82 pounds and also had big bass with a 4.99-pounder to win the Lakeland Bassmasters’ Draw Trail tournament on Sept. 18 on Johns Lake. Sean Roustio took second place with 9.97 pounds. Mike Leggitt placed third with 9.04 pounds.

Robbie McGohon and Al Moeckel had 24 lbs, 10 oz. to win the Pond Jumpers Tournament Trail event on Sept. 17 on Lake Hatchineha. Johnny Johnson and Colby Evans took second place with 22 lbs, 12 oz. Tom Thomas and Dan Dixon placed third with 12 lbs, 4 oz. Colby Evans took big bass with a 7.8-pounder.

Ishmael Garcia and Calvin Croft tied with the team of Danny Glisson and Daniel Smith for first place with 8.96 pounds during the Thursday Night Open Series tournament on Sept. 15 on Lake Ariana. Bobby Ford and Mike Tucker placed third with 8.55 pounds. Garcia and Croft took big bass with a 3.37-pounder.

Andrew Ready and Chris Ready had 19.85 pounds and also big bass with a 4.80-pounder to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Monday Nighter tournament on Sept. 19 on the Winter Haven Chain. Ricky Garcia and James Kiddie took second place with 11.90 pounds. Brent Girther and Vince Maffea placed third with 11.60 pounds.

Daniel Garcia had 15.69 pounds to win the Polk County Bass Assassins tournament on Sept. 17 on the Winter Haven South Chain. Chris Fox and Matt Glendenning took second place with 14.56 pounds. Bryan Clark and Terry Compton had big bass with a 4.30-pounder.

Ken Singletary and Steven Singletary had 12.05 pounds and also had big bass with a 3.65-pounder to win the Bass N Boats tournament on Sept. 17 on Lake Griffin. Brant Sims and Cody Sims took second place with 12.05 pounds. Mike Hancock and Amanda Butler placed third with 11.20 pounds.

Upcoming Tournaments

The next Thursday Night Open Series tournament is on Sept. 22 on the Winter Haven North Chain out of Lake Rochelle. Time is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sign-ups are at the ramp only and will be cut off at 5:50 p.m. Entry fee is $30 per boat, no more than two people per boat. The Camp Mack Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort 2022 Bonfire Tournament Series continues with the Tickled Pink Playoff on Sept. 24. at Lake Kissimmee. This is the third of three, one-day qualifier tournaments to be held throughout the year and will conclude with the two-day Bonfire Shootout tournament on Nov. 5-6. The Country Boys Fishing LLC tournament club will host a benefit tourney for local area angler Danny Myers who was diagnosed with cancer.
