Last harvest for family rooted in faith

Dear valued subscribers,

Welcome to Don't Miss Reads, our weekly newsletter highlighting some of our editors' favorite stories, photos and videos that you might have missed.

I'm Ryan Sharp, news director at The Oklahoman. This week, I hope you'll take a look at Carla Hinton's story about the end of an era for a family farm in northwest Oklahoma County.

Like most stories from Carla, her story on the Blair family hits on topics near and dear to many Oklahomans' hearts — faith and farming. The family, led by brothers Larry and John had run their no-till farm since the early 1990s, when it was passed on to them by their father.

Carla's story on the family's farming heritage and their role in establishing and growing multiple Baptist churches in central Oklahoma is an excellent read. I hope you'll take the time to enjoy it.
