Last-minute options for Mother's Day dining in the Coachella Valley

Mother's Day is on Sunday, May 14 and although the holiday is generally wholesome, celebrating Mom can get quite stressful as restaurants will be packed.

If you want to take the family out to brunch or dinner for the holiday, make sure to plan ahead and make reservations. We compiled a list of restaurants with Mother's Day offerings around the greater Palm Springs area to help you out.

For brunch

Café One Eleven at Agua Caliente Cathedral City

There will be a Mother's Day brunch special from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that offers a two-course menu and bottomless mimosas for $30. Entrée choices are breakfast style and include a fresh scramble and desert options include a vanilla cheesecake.

Vue Grille and Bar at Indian Wells Golf Resort

The Mother's Day menu will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will cost $75 for adults and $35 for children 12-years-old and younger. The menu will offer starters, entrées and desserts. Starters include an avocado toast and entrées have options of a lobster omelette, slow cooked prime rib and more.

Cowboy Cantina

The Mother’s Day buffet runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $55 for adults and $20 for kids (children under five are free). It includes a huge array of options such as a beef tenderloin station, an omelet station, an ice cream station, “legendary” French toast and more. The restaurant's Mother’s Day event will also include live music and “swag bag” giveaways during the brunch.

Eddie V's Prime Seafood

The restaurant will offer brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a $75 three-course menu for adults and $16 two-course menu for children. The adult menu will kick off with a first course of Maine lobster bisque and a main course that includes a roasted avocado and jumbo lump crab. Brunch cocktails will be offered as well.

Bellatrix Restaurant

For Mother's Day the restaurant will serve a brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., which will cost $100 for adults and $30 for children. There will be plenty of buffet choices, including sausage breakfast potatoes with onions and pepper biscuits, peanut butter and jelly stuffed French toast and more. Bottomless mimosas will also be available.

Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge

The holiday brunch will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will cost $58 for adults and $29 for children 12 and under. The three-course menu offerings will feature vegan options, including a roasted cauliflower steak for the "main event" and a canary melon cucumber gazpacho for the first course.

Las Casuelas Nuevas

The Mother's Day offering at this Mexican spot is buffet style and will be served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., which will cost $75 for adults and $45 for children 10 and under. Buffet options will include made to order omelettes, prime rib, fresh salmon and more.

For Dinner

Both restaurant locations will offer a Mother's Day dinner from 5 to 10 p.m., which will cost $85 per person and $45 for children 12 and under. The main course options include a chicken cordon bleu and dessert choices are a spiced carrot cake or a lava cake.

The Steakhouse at Ague Caliente Casinos Palm Springs

The steakhouse at the Palm Springs casino will offer a three-course Mother's Day special from 5 to 10 p.m. for $90. The starter is an Alfredo gnocchi, the entrée is a smoked Atlantic salmon and desert will be a chocolate religieuse. The special also comes with the choice of a soup or salad.

The steakhouse at the Rancho Mirage casino will serve a Mother's Day menu from 5 to 10 p.m., which will include three courses. The main course offerings include a pan-seared arctic char for $42 and a pan-seared duck breast for $45.

The restaurant will offer a three-course Mother's Day special for both brunch and dinner. Brunch is served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $54.99 for adults and $19.99 for children. The dinner special will also cost the same. Both specials will have various gluten-free options, which includes a braised short ribs for both brunch and dinner.

Taproom 29 at Spotlight 29 Casino

The restaurant will serve a Mother's Day brunch special from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., which includes an eggs Benedict with poached eggs for $9.95. The dinner special is served from 4 to 9 p.m. which includes a baked stuffed codfish for $21.95 and a roasted prime rib for $29.95. You must have a casino player's card for the holiday prices.

Twenty6 and Morgan's in the Desert at La Quinta Resort & Club

The restaurants at La Quinta Resort & Club will have brunch and dinner offerings on Mother's Day. Twenty6 will serve a holiday brunch special that will cost $48 for adults and $24 for children. The menu will be served buffet style and will included an omelet bar, juice bar and more. Morgans in the Desert will start serving their dinner special at 4 p.m. which will offer both classic and contemporary dishes with locally-sourced ingrediants.
