About last night: Week 6 in prep football
Oct. 2—Broomfield's Cole LaCrue had some nice momentum on the recruiting trail coming into his senior season. And with his utter brilliance on the gridiron this fall, just imagine what it could look like going forward.
The senior quarterback added more highlights and more just incredible to a 2022 resumé already overfilled with it as the Eagles stayed perfect on the season Friday night.
Joining him with big days in Week 6 included the likes of Fairview's Zach Lewis, Legacy's Kullen Lerma, Longmont's Cole Gaddis and Lyons' Malik Sigg-Brown, among others.
Teams in the BoCoPreps.com coverage area went 7-6 through Friday after going 9-6 last week.
Three more teams were in action Saturday with Niwot, Monarch and Justice all hosting.
Friday night
Broomfield 55, Dakota Ridge 24: Quarterback Cole LaCrue had five total touchdowns as Class 4A No. 2 Broomfield (6-0) blew out No. 10 Dakota Ridge.
The Eagles have now outscored teams 289-72 this season.
In their latest, LaCrue had rushing TDs of 92, 73 and 5 yards, while his passing scores were of 65 and 28. He now has 26 total TDs this fall.
Elsewhere, Garrett Keeler had a strip-sack that was returned for a score by Noah Biller. Kaelan Frey had a spectacular TD catch and Luke Francis had a 43-yard rushing TD.
The Eagles are at Aurora Central Thursday.
Longmont 42, Greeley West 0: Cole Gaddis rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and the Trojans (2-4, 1-0 4A League 2) kicked in the 40-point running clock by the third quarter.
Gaddis has now rushed for more than 100 yards in four straight games. He has 10 TDs on the ground this season.
Quarterback Kolby Holmes added three passing TDs, giving him six on the year.

Longmont is at Silver Creek Friday.
Holy Family 28, Conifer 7: The 3A 10th-ranked Tigers (3-2) scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, bouncing back from a lopsided loss to No. 1 Roosevelt last week.
Chase McNaughton rushed for 130 yards and had two scores in the win, while Rylan Cooney threw for 120 yards and ran for another two scores.
Holy Family is at fifth-ranked Lutheran next Friday.
Skyline 28, Silver Creek 21: Kaiden Box connected with Dilan Bridwell for a 42-yard touchdown early on, Rah Carson later rushed for his second TD of the year, and the Falcons used a big fourth quarter to beat Silver Creek for the fifth straight year.
The Falcons (4-2) trailed 21-13 headed into fourth before putting up 15 points to win their third straight. They travel to Windsor next Friday.
Silver Creek (3-3) is home against Longmont next Friday.
Fairview 42, Boulder 0: Zach Lewis rushed for four touchdowns in the Knights' third straight win.

Boulder (1-5, 0-1 5A League 3) will look to end its five-game losing streak at home against Fossil Ridge Thursday.
Fairview (5-1), going for its fourth straight win, is at Poudre Thursday.
Loveland 35, Erie 14: Blake Barnett had two rushing touchdowns, but the Tigers (2-4) fell to No. 5 Loveland.
Barnett's TD rushes of 8 and 2 yards came in the second quarter, trimming an early 21-0 deficit to just one score. But the Red Wolves closed the game on a 14-0 run in the second half for their fifth straight win.
Erie hosts Monarch next Friday.

Green Mountain 43, Mead 7: The Mavericks (1-4) lost to the third-ranked team in Class 3A.
Cole Michaelis scored the lone touchdown for Mead in the fourth quarter. Jason Klatt's team is home against George Washington Friday.

Bennett 68, Prospect Ridge 0: The Miners (1-4, 0-1 2A League 2) have been outscored by Bennett 117-12 in two games since 2020.
They are at Wellington next Friday.
Thursday night
Lyons 56, Byers 14: It was pure domination yet again for the seventh-ranked team in the 8-man classification.
Malik Sigg-Brown rushed for a career-high 206 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries and the Lions (5-0, 1-0 A-8 League 5) stayed perfect on the season.
Sigg-Brown's 25.8 yards per touch led a ground game that rushed 19 times for 343 yards. His four touchdowns, meanwhile, pushed his season total to nine.
Quarterback Miles Dumbauld added a score on the ground, running for 80 yards on just five carries. Maregu Sullivan returned a kick for a score and Cooper Ucker had a receiving TD.
Lyons, which has outscored teams 212-52 this year, will host Justice next Friday.
Legacy 35, Rangeview 14: Kullen Lerma added to his breakout junior campaign, scoring four touchdowns as the Lightning won their fourth straight since starting the fall season 0-2.
5A No. 10 Legacy (4-2, 1-0 League 2) never trailed behind its dynamic playmaking quarterback. He threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns on nine completions and had 84 yards and another score on the ground.
As part of his night, Lerma connected for two TDs to Will Thurston and another to Tyler Madden. His rushing score went 65 yards.
Tyler Anderson added 77 yards and a score on five carries.
The Lightning will host Prairie View next Friday.
Mountain View 43, Centaurus 6: Ben Mischke scored on the ground for a third straight game, but Centaurus (3-3) was blown out after two straight weeks of lopsided wins.
Jack Parana saw his most action at QB this season, going 8-for-13 for 118 yards. Chance Wood was 6-for-11 for 67 yards and an interception.
The Warriors will travel to Liberty Thursday.
