SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — San Angelo residents looking for a quick bite of the fan-acclaimed “Lord’s chicken” may need to look elsewhere in town in four days when the Sherwood Way Chick-fil-A shuts down temporarily.
According to the restaurant and its sister location on Knickerbocker Road, the closure is slated for Friday, Feb. 16, and is to allow work to begin on the fast-food joint’s “store refresh” construction project.
The establishment, located at 3720 S. FM 2288, will close its doors to dine-in customers at 2 p.m. and its drive-thru service at 7:30 p.m. The restaurant will remain closed “until further notice” while construction is underway, according to its sister location.
For those who may be worried about a favorite Chick-fil-A worker, don’t worry — some employees of the Sherwood Way location will be migrating to the Knickerbocker restaurant in the meantime.
The Knickerbocker location has been posting a countdown to the closure of its sister store on its Facebook page and assuring San Angelo residents that the restaurants’ combined efforts will continue to serve the city while one of their most frequented buildings undergoes a face-lift.
“We look forward to working together with our friends to serve you San Angelo!” the Knickerbocker location said.
