A Lake Area Technical College Day of Development event is being held on Tuesday, March 21 on the fourth floor of the Goss Opera House.

The day session runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and is an inclusive event for personal and professional development. The night event runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Food vendors are available and appetizers are included in the price of admission.

The panel includes professional speakers and Eureka natives V.J. Smith and Holly Hoffman as well as another professional speaker Mike Oster of Rapid City, who will speak at the day session only.

“We are very fortunate to have two of South Dakota's best motivational speakers,” said Mitch Reed, coordinator of the event. “They come to us highly recommended by various businesses across the region.”

“Networking is crucial in our world today. We tend to get so focused on what is in front of us we miss the opportunities around us to grow and learn. This day will provide people to step out of their office, have meaningful conversations, and be inspired to make positive change — not only within their company, but also in their community.

“The community support has been wonderful, and we look to host this event for many years to come,” commented Reed, who serves as the superintendent, elementary principal and SPED director at Florence.
