Latest Doylestown Coronavirus Updates

DOYLESTOWN, PA —The coronavirus outbreak in Pennsylvania and across the nation is having vast impacts in Doylestown, including the closure of schools and many businesses.

The number of cases of the illness, also known as COVID-19, continue to rise and additional measures and closures continue to be announced. The governor has declared a statewide stay-at-home order. All non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania have been closed.

As of Wednesday, there were 816 positive cases of coronavirus in Bucks County, including confirmed cases in Doylestown Borough, Doylestown Township, and Buckingham Township. In all, 24 people have died from the coronavirus in Bucks County as of Wednesday.

Pennsylvania reported its largest single-day COVID-19 death count on Tuesday, as 78 virus-related fatalities were confirmed in the last 24 hours. The new deaths bring the statewide total to 240.

The total number of cases in Pennsylvania stands at 14,599 as of Tuesday; more than 1,300 of those people have have been hospitalized.
